Please describe your Volunteer Project:

My volunteer project was restoring habitat on Motuihe Island. We planted loads of trees, we weeded out the non-natives, we created walkways, did beach cleaning, and pretty much anything that the island needed to restore it back to its glory in order for the endangered spotted kiwis to have a place to multiply.

What was the most memorable moment of your ISV Program?

The most memorable moment of my ISV program was the look of appreciation of the children from the Fijian school we visited. You could feel and see how much positive effect we had on them.

What is your favorite souvenir from your trip?

My favorite souvenir has to be my t-shirt from my skydiving experience. It’s a great conversation starter.

"I had the time of my life!” -Rocio

Why did you decide to travel with ISV?

I decided to travel with ISV because it suited my school and work schedule. It combined volunteer work with adventure, two things I enjoy. Everything was planned and taken care of.

How has your ISV experience influenced your future?

My ISV experience has drastically influenced my future. I want to volunteer more, make a difference and become more adventurous. I am a better person because of my ISV experience!!!
