“The Other Half” by Andrew Hafnor: a Top 10 video in the Global Youth Travel Awards. Andrew traveled to South Africa with ISV in 2012.

At the Global Youth Travel Awards during the World Youth Student Travel Conference in San Diego in September 2012, ISV was highlighted in the WYSE Work Abroad “Expand Your Horizons” Video Contest.

ISV has received some amazing entries in our Annual Video Contest. Earlier this year we reached out to our alumni and encouraged them to also submit their videos to the WYSE Work Abroad contest, described below.

Concept: WYSE Work Abroad celebrates the many benefits of the work and volunteer abroad experience by hosting a video contest where young people can submit a video that shares their unique experience of working or volunteering abroad. One lucky participant will win US $2,000!

In front of hundreds of delegates representing organizations from around the globe in the youth travel industry, ISV received a commendation for the exceptional quality of the videos submitted about our program, with two making the top 10:

By far, ISV volunteers had the most number of videos submitted for this award.  Click here to see all of the videos that were submitted, including those by ISV volunteers (as shown below).

ISV’s Annual Video Competition is growing every year. Visit ISV’s website or Search for “ISV” in youtube to explore a diverse range of ISV experiences captured on video.
