Greetings from Zambia! I’d like to share a little with you about the amazing experience of the Wild Africa Excursion.

Located in Zambia, Livingstone is a fairly small, quiet town, but looks can be deceiving as it has some of the most adrenalin-packed activities one can hope to do. Not to mention being home to one of the largest waterfalls on earth, the Victoria Falls.

One of my favorite parts of the excursion is a 2-day visit to Chobe National Park in Botswana.   I love searching for African animals all day by boat and game vehicle, and finishing up by camping under the stars in the park, trading stories around the camp fire and listening to the sounds of the African bush.

One of the best days in Livingstone is when we all go down to Victoria Falls Park, walk through the rainforest, get drenched by the falls and hang out with baboons.  Eat lunch on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River followed by a sunset cruise; it all adds up to a fantastic day out!

During my free time in Livingstone I have joined the groups on so many incredible activities like microlight flights over the falls, lion and cheetah encounters, white water rafting the Zambezi, visiting Livingstone Island and bungy jumping, bridge swinging, gorge swinging and zip-lining……Phew!!  Adventure is the name of the game here.

One of the highlights for me personally though is seeing people use their free time here to continue the great work they did in their volunteer projects.  I have had people volunteering in their free time at local schools, playing sports with the children and taking donations to nearby crèches.  The giving doesn’t end in the first two weeks.

The Wild Africa Excursion has received a 5/5 rating from every group since its inception and long may it continue to deliver one of the best adventures of a lifetime!
