  • It was a life changing experience and I´ve never been happier to be part of something. Working with sea turtles and being put in a new environment has helped me grow as a person and expand my knowledge. Everyone should get involved with this program! Pura Vida!

  • It’s an incredible journey to find yourself while helping improve other communities so vastly different than your own. The best way to find your self is by immersing in situations that are uncomfortable and then becoming comfortable with them. ISV was an amazing experience in which I immersed myself in a completely different community of people to then become so connected. It was truly life changing.

Sarah Blomgren University of South Carolina USA

  • Usually when people say that this was the most amazing experience of their life, people usually just blow it off, but now after experiencing all the love and support, this literally is the most amazing thing I have ever done. I found myself here. I found people who also found themselves here. My experience here makes me want to never leave here. I am constantly surrounded by passionate people and listening to them talk is such a beautiful thing. I am inspired. It’s a euphoric feeling.

  • It´s a unique opportunity to not only impact a community, but to impact our own lives in a way that can´t be described in words. I came on this journey expecting to impact the life of others, but it was the other way around. ISV project taught me so much in so little time, about the world, about people, and about myself. I would go to bed everyday exhausted from hard work, but excited for the next to come.

  • Awesome well-rounded experience, many cultural activities and interaction with locals. The Spanish week you have the opportunity to learn a lot of Spanish and the adventure tour is great opportunity to see the country. And at the same time being involved with communities or conservation to make a difference in the world around you.

Sabrina Haney Weber State University USA

  • This program has been an amazing experience full of adventure culture, learning and building relationships with new people.

Ericka Tetrault University of Manitoba Canada

  • My ISV experience was a trip of a lifetime. Not only did get to travel across Costa Rica, but also had the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture. The trip provided unique experiences and allowed me to give back to a community, which was rewarding and opened my eyes to a new world!

Ryan McKillop University of Regina Canada

  • The experience was amazing. The places were unforgettable, but the best part is the people. Meeting students from around the world and the locals. I´ve never met such friendly people. I loved it.
