Wild Africa Excursion

Spot crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and more wildlife when you explore 2 new countries, Botswana and Zambia. Join us on an exciting 6 day/7 night excursion to Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River and Chobe National Park. Price includes 6 days/7 nights lodging, the additional airfare, ISV provided activities (see below), and most meals.

Arrival in Johannesburg & Orientation

The South African adventure tour ends and we will spend one night at our hostel in Johannesburg and receive our orientation meeting, ready to start our excursion tomorrow.

Livingstone, Zambia - the Adventure Capital of Africa

Fly from Johannesburg, South Africa and arrive in Livingstone, Zambia - the adventure capital of Africa and home to the incredible Victoria Falls. This afternoon get acquainted with your accommodations and surroundings as you prepare to begin what is sure to be one of the greatest weeks you've had!

River Cruise in Chobe National Park in Botswana

Depart early to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River where you can spot hippo cruising in the water, elephants bathing and playing in the river and crocodiles sunbathing on the river banks. Experience 'wildlife-viewing heaven' during afternoon and evening game drives within Chobe National Park. Finish our day with dinner under the stars and camping in the park.

Exploring more of Chobe National Park

This morning we will continue to explore one of the most wild and breathtaking places on earth, Chobe National Park. We will have lunch in the park and in the afternoon head back to Livingstone in Zambia.

Free Day

Take advantage of being in the adventure capital of Africa. There are many adrenaline charged activities available for you to sign up for, from flying over the falls to lion encounters, white water rafting and rappelling (all activities at additional cost). Tonight we will come together for a night of interactive drumming and a local Zambian feast

Free Day

As there are so many things to do in Livingstone, you have another free day! Spend the day at the pool, walk down to the local markets and try your hand at trading, or continue to try the many amazing activities on offer. You could also build on all the good work you did during the first two weeks and volunteer today. There are different opportunities available, just ask one of the friendly staff at our accommodations.

Victoria Falls & Sunset Cruise on Zambezi River

Finally, we'll visit Mosi-ao-Tunya (Victoria Falls) Park and get a full experience of the falls; wander through the lush tropical forest that grows along the side of the falls, get wet from the spray and experience the roar of the tons of water that flows over the falls every minute. You then head to a luxury lodge on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River for a 3 course lunch before finishing your African adventure in style; watching the sunset while eating canapes on a Zambezi River cruise.

Goodbye to Zambia

Today we will say goodbye to Zambia and fly back to Johannesburg to catch our connecting flights back home.

How do I sign up?

US/Canada/UK/EU Participants - check the "Wild Africa Excursion" box on your ISV Flight/Options Form.

Aus/NZ Participants - email the ISV office and request to be signed up for this option and make the appropriate deposit.

Due to the exclusiveness of this excursion, spaces are limited and on a first-come first-serve basis. Note: Pricing is based on a minimum of 8 participants which is the minimum number required to run the excursion. Should the minimum sign-ups fall below 8, the ISV office will email current sign-ups with options.

You can only add the Wild Africa Excursion if you are participating on the Standard 4 Week Program in South Africa.
