If you are part of a group looking to volunteer and make a difference, ISV can customize a program to suit your needs provided your area of interest fits with our mission. ISV’s projects aim to contribute to sustainable development with a focus on environmental conservation and social community development. 

Our regular projects are 2 weeks in duration. However, ISV has the ability to customize a quality program of varying lengths and focus that will exceed your expectations. Group sizes are a minimum of 8 volunteers (depending on the project and your group needs). Contact ISV with your enquiry and group trip needs. In Thailand, ISV projects aim to protect the nation’s incredible biodiversity of plants and animals, while encouraging sustainable development and educating children and communities.

Skilled Group Trip: Elephant Veterinary Support

Aside from the numerous specialty group trips listed below, ISV offers an amazing experience for volunteers with pre-vet education and training or more advanced veterinary skills. Spend 2 incredible weeks in an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center, supporting the work of local vets who are caring for previously abused and mistreated elephants. You will have the opportunity to interact with elephants on a daily basis, as well as develop your skills and knowledge by supporting the work of qualified vets and elephant handlers. 

You may also help maintain the sanctuary, with tasks including feeding, bathing, washing elephants, planting crops, maintaining infrastructure and teaching tourists about animal mishandling in Thailand’s tourism industry. Important note – each group must be accompanied by an advanced Veterinary student (not Pre-vet), approved by ISV, who is able to facilitate the veterinary techniques.
