  1. ISV will only be conducting programs for this coming summer, 2018 in the Dominican Republic. We are excited to announce that we have started a new Dominican Republic, Baseball initiative entitled: Global Students Volunteer (GSV) - Dominican Republic. Our purpose is to assist the children in the impoverished villages of the DR with education, infrastructure building and recreation to improve their living standards in the name of Baseball.

  • One of the main reasons I chose to travel with ISV was the two weeks of volunteer work at the start of the trip. Doing my bit towards helping with conservation and habitat restoration in Australia gave me a sense of achievement and made me feel I earned my right to travel in the country I was in. Furthermore, through the teamwork and cooperation of my project group, I have made some lifelong friends who I love and also, learned a lot: about Australian culture, conservation, and even about myself. It was an experience I will never forget and will always be glad I was involved in.

  • I was so lucky to be put with a group of people with the same views of the world as myself. I enjoyed every day of my project and getting to know the environment and my team members better. My group leaders for both ISV and Conservation Volunteers Australia were amazing and made me feel so proud and happy to be doing something to impact the world; big or small.

  • This trip was life-changing to say the least. The people I met, the things I did, the places I saw, and everything that I learned will be deeply engrained in my mind and heart forever.

    Christopher Haag University of Dayton

  • Best experience of my life! Met so many amazing people and new friends. I've grown as a person and conquered so many fears. I will recommend it to anyone. This was my first time traveling alone and now I want to continue to travel the world.

  • This experience has changed my life for the better. It allowed me to work outdoors, make great friends and understand how individual volunteer projects can contribute to the overall development of communities.

  • To let this opportunity pass by would be a huge mistake. By far the most inspiring and fulfilling experience of a lifetime. I will never forget the memories or the people I met.

William Ramsay University of Alberta Canada

  • I came to love this experience through an epiphany I had while standing on the top of an Aboriginal rock site. Overlooking the beautiful scenery and reflecting on the two weeks just made me realize how much I would change and the impact I made at my project site. It was truly incredible!

  • ISV is amazing. From the first time I was able to make a little girls smile, from simply playing a game with her, I felt I made an impact. ISV is really great about serving rather than just helping a community. We could've just given people food or money, but instead we worked with locals to improve a community from the base. Each thing I contributed to, I felt as though it truly meant something.

  • My experience with ISV in the Dominican Republic was one that will stay with me forever. It was so rewarding to contribute my efforts to such a gracious community and to really see a different part of the world in such a unique way. It was extremely rewarding to be part of such a program and is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and make a difference

Cristina Mattia Australian Catholic University USA

  • ISV is an experience that everyone should have. The people I've met here share so many similarities to me and I know I have made like long friendships. Our interactions within the community have been invaluable. I would 10/10 recommend ISV to any student who desires completely new experiences, is willing to learn, and has an unlimited amount of compassion
