  • We officially concluded our volunteer project today and I could not be more proud of what we accomplished. I came to the Dominican two weeks ago timid and afraid to meet new people. I can confidently say now that not only have I connected with the people I have met, but I have become part of a family. This experience is positive in every regard: we are walking away as better global citizens and as more refined young adults. The project leaders are incredible people. They are highly invested in our experience as volunteers and in us as individuals. I could not be more grateful for their support and dedication to our project. Leaving the people that I have met and grown with at Rancho Campeche has been incredibly rewarding and only makes leaving that much harder. I am overjoyed knowing how much good has come from our efforts. The result of our hard work over 8 days were 3 floors, 3 latrines, and a community centre. We didn´t just mix concrete -- we established foundations for healthier lifestyles and sustainable futures. I cannot emphasize how overwhelmed I am with pride. I would definitely recommend this program. Thank you ISV. You have truly made an impact.

  • What a wonderful experience out here in Costa Rica. I´ve never been out of the country before but ISV organization made it easy. I absolutely loved my Project. Working in the community, the children and staying with a host family was amazing. I loved everything about it.

  • This experience has been great! It has opened my eyes to new things. I have gained so much knowledge and the host organization and host family were some of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you all for everything and the chance to be part of the change.

  • It is and experience that no journal, photo or video can describe. The 2 weeks here were incredible and unforgettable. I´ve gained 2 families here, my familia tica and my ISV family, and I´m lucky to be part of both.

  • I truly had an experience of a lifetime. I made so many new friends and had a blast while doing so. I also feel like I have learned so much about sea turtles, the amazing Costa Rican culture! I had fun while making a difference and I learned things I never would have learned from a textbook.

  • This experience was like nothing I´d ever imagined. Nothing could replace this experience and I would do it no other way. I would recommend this program to any and every student willing to make the journey!

  • Meeting new people and all working toward an incredible project and goal was an amazing experience. I would do it again and again if I could. Being immerse in a foreign culture with people that I have become great friends with has been an incredible experience that I wish didn´t have to end. I´ll always remember my time in Costa Rica working with sea turtles.

  • These past two weeks have been above my expectations. I feel different and I hope our contribution will make a difference. I am proud of our work and I am already missing the community and all the exchanges we had within our group and with the community. Thank you Biolley and Mauricio.
